LAGOS INVASION MANDATE: JULY, 1989:

In the early hours of July 1989, while in the bathroom, the Lord spoke to me unequivocally.

"Arise, get down to Lagos and raise Me a people."
- July 1989

I tried blocking off the voice, but it kept coming repeatedly and persistently.

"Arise, get down to Lagos and raise Me a people."
- July 1989

I tried to ring it off; I got dresses and went to the office, called my secretary and engrossed myself with administrative activities and yet it won't go. It kept ringing.

"Arise, get down to Lagos and raise Me a people."
- July 1989

I was so troubled by this voice that at 2pm of the same day, I had to dispatch a staff to Lagos in search of facilities for the church offices, staff housing e.t.c. Then I had rest. It is pertinent to note that I had a personal dislike for the city of Lagos - I had never dreamt or wished to have anything to do with the city.

Secondly, we were having a real great time in Kaduna, with most humbling breakthrough records. So, there was neither motivation nor desire to seek a change of location. But as God would always back up his word, just within 2 weeks, all the facilities required were secured. All, walking distance to one another - church facility which houses the church, staff housing and my own house.
